SNOWSPORTS SCHOOL ADMINISTATOR
Responsible for payroll and administration of Snowsports departments. Supervises, trains and supports Snowsports administrative staff. Maintains RTP and ADP (payroll) databases including contact rosters for instructors. Assists with set up of Snowsports clinics, multi-day programs and training programs. Assists with outdoor operations and customer service as needed. Please email goodwork@skialpine.com for a complete job description.
Must have excellent customer service, computer and database skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and courtesy. Must have good organizational and communication skills. Prior experience with RTP and/or ADP preferred.
SPECIAL TICKETS SELLER
Assist customers who have special ticket needs or season passes purchases. Uses point of sale (POS) system for ticket and pass sales and maintains records of all sales. Responsible for Seasonal Locker rentals – sales and maintaining records. Assures that daily cash sales reports are completed accurately.
Must have great customer service skills with a desire to solve problems. Ability to be detail oriented and accurate in a fast paced environment. Ability to maintain composure when dealing with customers. Must be able to manage a large volume of cash accurately, honestly and safely. Must have basic computer and phone skills and a great attitude.
ASSISTANT RETAIL MANAGER
Assists in managing retail stores at Alpine Meadows and Homewood locations. Responsible for maximum performance results in three areas: supervising employees, customer satisfaction and financial performance. Demonstrates leadership in accessorizing, selling and creating relationships with guests; coaches staff in all these areas for improved performance. Using RTP system, monitors inventory and performs all duties of sales associate and cashier.
Must be self motivated, guest oriented, and work well under pressure. Must have proven leadership abilities working in a team environment and the ability to develop people. Minimum of 3 years experience in retail sales or related experience with 2 years experience in supervisory position. Experience at a resort shop or with RTP preferred. SKI & SNOWBOARD SCHOOL TRAINING SUPERVISOR - seasonal, full time
Alpine Meadows is seeking an industry leader to play an integral role in creating a legendary Ski and Snowboard School Instructor Training program. This is a unique opportunity to build a great training program at two resorts from the ground up.
The Training supervisor develops, organizes and schedules all ski and snowboard school training as well as assists in supervising the daily operation of the Ski and Snowboard School at both Alpine Meadows and Homewood ski resorts. They will provide a training program that is exciting, motivating, relevant and current while using the PSIA/AASI system. Need to effectively promote and execute the delivery of exceptional guest service and provide a sound financial return to the company.
Alpine Meadows has a long tradition of supporting instructor training programs and has produced some of the nation’s top instructors. Alpine is known as one of the steepest resorts in the country supporting high end steep camps and legendary women’s camps.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in the creation of training sessions and programs that are exciting, motivating, and relevant while using the PSIA/AASI system and other education and customer service models. This candidate effectively promotes and executes the delivery of exceptional guest service and achieves a high attention to detail. Must have PSIA/AASI level 3 certification or equivalent, with trainer or examiner certification preferred. The candidate must have excellent communication, organizational and guest service skills, and the ability to perform a wide variety of Ski and Snowboard School tasks.

TELEMARK TEAM COACH
Promotes telemark skiing by providing safe, enjoyable and effective coaching for competitive tele skiers. Teaches modern tele technique, sets up race courses, uses appropriate pacing for skill levels.
Must have excellent telemark skiing skills and knowledge of ski racing. Must be able to carry up to 45 lbs of equipment while skiing. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. To apply, send applications and resumes to snowsports@skialpine.com.
DEVELOPMENT TEAM COACH - part time, weekends and holidays
Under the direction of the Snowsports school, provides individual or group instruction on racing techniques for kids ages 6-13. Clarifies athlete’s goals and expectations, selects appropriate terrain, sets safe and effective race courses.

SKI PATROL
Promotes safety of mountain environment. Evaluate skiers for injuries, administer first aid as necessary and transport injured by sleds. Mitigate skiing hazards through appropriate and consistent markings and signage. Mitigate avalanche hazards through the application of standard forecasting and control procedures. Investigate accidents and documents. Enforce policies in a fair, consistent manner, including skier safety, speed control, citizen’s arrest as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Must have 1 year experience as Ski Patrol and current California EMT Certification or O.E.C. Minimum age 21. Must be an excellent skier in all weather and snow conditions on all slopes, carrying heavy and/or awkward loads. Must have the ability to maintain a professional appearance and open, courteous and approachable attitude. Must have the ability to follow all policies and procedures contained in Patrol Manual. COMPETITION SERVICES EVENT SUPERVISOR
Responsible overseeing all race related events at Alpine Meadows. Including but not limited to skier registration, course setting and maintenance, ribbon placement, timing, safety and results publication. Must be a strong Intermediate to Advanced skier. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, while on skis. Race backround is required. Must be USSA Chief of Race, Chief of Course certified. Experience in a supervisory role preferred. TERRAIN PARK ATTENDANT
Assists with construction, maintenance, opening and closing of Terrain Features. Supervises and monitors daily activities and events in the park and on features.
Must have good customer service skills. Must be more interested in working than riding. Must be able to evaluate and improve terrain park features for safety and customer satisfaction.
LIFT OPERATOR - full time, minimum 4 shifts per week
Assists customers on and off ski lifts. Maintains loading ramps, sets up signs, barrier ropes and mazes. Responsible for safety checks and accurate log reports. Should be in good physical condition, be able to shovel snow, and lift small children into chairs. May be required to climb lift towers to access lift motor rooms. Communication skills important. Should like to work and stand outdoors under all weather conditions.
SNOWMAKING - full time or part time
Creates and maintains top quality snow surface of man made snow. Sets up and maintains snowmaking guns, hoses and hydrants. Monitors quality of snow and maintains all equipment and facilities. Must be able to communicate well. Must be able to work outdoors under harsh winter conditions. Must be able to operate snowmobiles in a safe manner. Must have mechanical skills.
GUEST SERVICES
Assists guests in attaining the best possible experience at Alpine Meadows. Provides accurate up-to-the-minute information about weather, daily operations, location of services, special events, programs and general mountain knowledge. Assist customers with equipment. Mans Equipment Corral. Maintains Lost and Found. Must have Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with customers and employees. Must be able to work well in a high volume, hectic environment.
TICKET SELLER - full time or part time
Sells daily and package ski tickets to customers from computer terminal. Responsible for handling and reconciliation of cash and credit card sales. Heavy customer service. Previous cashier or money handling experience required. Must have strong math skills and some computer background. Must be able to communicate efficiently, courteously and effectively with customers and employees.
SNOWSPORT SALES - full time
Sells all of Snowsports School programs, including reservations and registration for group and private lessons, and special multi-day programs. Responsible for handling and reconciliation of cash and credit card sales. Must have good customer service skills and be able to communicate efficiently, courteously and effectively with customers and employees. Previous cashier/money handling experience and computer background preferred.
KIDS CAMP SKI INSTRUCTOR - full or part time
Kid's Camp instructors are responsible for teaching skiing to children ages 3-6 years, and/or snowboarding to children ages 5-6. This job includes indoor supervision of the children as well as outdoor activities. Previous experience teaching activities to young children in a structured environment is helpful. Must have skiing or snowboarding experience.

SKI AND SNOWBOARD RENTAL SHOPS - full time or part time
Fitting Boots, Skis, and snowboards to customers, adjusting bindings, answering questions, cashiering, cleaning and testing equipment. Must be neat and clean and have good work habits. Must enjoy working with the public and communicate well. Must be totally dependable.
PARKING
Responsible for directing public and employees to parking spots in a safe, efficient and friendly manner. Sets up cones, signs and quick fences in parking areas as needed. Answers customer’s questions or directs them to someone who can answer the question. Keeps parking areas clean, picks up trash. Must have a pleasant manner and be able to communicate well with the public.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE - full time or part time
Night crew: Responsible for the thorough cleaning and sanitation of all base area buildings. Must be in good physical condition. Very physical job using commercial cleaners and chemicals. Previous maintenance experience preferred.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE (FEMALE) - full time and part time
Day crew: Responsible for cleaning women’s restrooms, snow and ice removal, light janitorial duties, assisting with locker problems. Must be in good physical condition. Previous maintenance experience helpful, but not necessary.
TICKET SCANNER - full or part time
Responsible for making sure that all persons using lifts have daily tickets or season passes. Assists with lift line maze set-up and lift safety checks. Assists with line control. Must be friendly but assertive person with good customer service skills. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must have excellent communication skills.
TUBE PARK ATTENDANT – full time and part time, seasonal
Responsible for set up and safety of Tube Park at Alpine Meadows. Ensures that all guests are informed of Tube Park Rules and has current ticket/pass. Monitors area for safety. Must have good customer service skills. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions. Must be able to evaluate and improve tube park for safety and customer satisfaction. Must be able to carry up to 30 pounds on snow surface.
RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE - full time or part time
Assists customers in selecting and purchasing merchandise at Estelle Sports. Displays and maintains inventory in store, responsible for accurate cash and credit card transactions. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to handle accurate cash and credit transactions. Must be able to work well in team department.
FOOD SERVICE - full time or part time
Cafeteria style food service. Need cooks, bakers, cashiers, line servers, baristas and bus people. Must be able to communicate easily and politely to all customers and have a neat and clean appearance. Must work well as part of a team.
BARISTAS
Prepare Espresso and coffee drinks for customers, sell baked goods and food items. Use cash register. Must be able to communicate easily and politely to all customers and fellow employees. Must to able to perform accurate cash transactions. Must have neat and clean appearance. Must have safety awareness at all times.
PREP COOK
Assist cooks by washing, cutting, slicing, cooking food items. Assists in stocking serving line. Carries hot food trays. Makes sandwiches. Keep serving areas and kitchens clean. Assists other employees when not busy with normal duties. Must be able to communicate easily and politely to all customers, and fellow employees.. Must have neat and clean appearance. Must work well as part of a team. Must have safety awareness at all times.
DISHWASHERS
Washes trays, dishes, utensils. Keeps dish areas clean. Assists with restocking dishes, trays and utensils. Assists with snow removal. Assists other employees when not busy with normal duties. Must have neat and clean appearance. Must work well as part of a team.
STATION ATTENDANT
Provide customers with top quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner. Set up your station and prepares daily specials. Assists with inventory and stocking food items. Keep serving areas and kitchens clean. Assists other employees when not busy with normal duties. Must be able to communicate easily and politely to all customers, and fellow employees. Must have neat and clean appearance. Must work well as part of a team. Must have safety awareness at all times.
CASHIERS
Responsible for handling and reconciliation of cash and credit card sales. Heavy customer service. Previous cashier or money handling experience prefered. Must have strong math skills and some computer background. Must be able to communicate efficiently, courteously and effectively with customers and employees.
BUSPERSONS/DINING ROOM ATTENDANT
Picks up used trays, discards trash and cleans tables. Transports trash bags to compactor. Insures cleanliness of dining areas. Must have neat and clean appearance. Must work well as part of a team.
CHALET FOOD SERVICE
Prepares food for customers of small, popular cafeteria located on the ski slope. Transports and preps food, keep serving line stocked, assists customers, busses tables, keeps serving areas and kitchens clean. Assists with other chalet duties. Must be able to provide customers and fellow workers with good customer service. Must be able to communicate well, be neat and clean, and work well as part of a team. Must be punctual with positive work attitude.
COOK - CHALET
Prepares food for customers of small cafeteria. Produces soup and daily specials, assists with inventory and stocking food items, keeps serving areas and kitchens clean. Assists with other chalet duties. Must be able to provide customers and fellow workers with good customer service. Must be able to communicate well, be neat and clean, and work well as part of a team. Must be punctual with positive work attitude.
BBQ COOKS
Attends BBQ area and prepares food. Must be able to communicate easily and politely to all customers, and fellow employees. Must have neat and clean appearance. Must work well as part of a team.
