International Applicants

Squaw Valley is always looking for enthusiastic employees and we enjoy welcoming international students and applicants each season.

J-1 Visa Program

For the 2012-13 season we will be working with the J-1 visa program only. Squaw Valley is an Equal Opportunity Employer. If you have questions, please contact the Human Resources office at 530-581-7112.

  • For temporary work in the United States, the most popular visa secured by students is a "cultural exchange" Visa (J-1) that permits you to work for a period of 4 months, and allows for 1 month of travel on the end (total of 5 months). In order to be eligible for a J-1 Visa you must currently be a student between the ages of 19 and 30, and must be a full-time student for at least one semester of the same year that you are applying for, or have deferred status. We also hire students who have graduated from University and are able to secure a 12month J-1 visa.
  • If you would like assistance in securing a J-1 work visa, you should contact www.CCUSA.com for the fairs in Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aries and www.workandtravel.com.br for the fair in Brazil. We will be hiring students from these job fairs FIRST.
  • Interviews will be in the following cities: Belo-Horizonte-Sep 1, 2012, Florianopolis-Sep 4, 2012, Lima-Sep 8, 2012, Santiago-Sep 10, 2012 and Buenos Aires-Sep 12, 2012.
  • We will not be accepting any independent J1 visa applications.
  • These agencies are not affiliated with Alpine Meadows and generally charge a fee for their services.
