Step aside big-air skiers and snowboarders, and make room for the Snowbomb Lil’ Air  Festival.  The Lil’ Air invites all boys and girls ages 10 and under to show off their individual ski and snowboard style in Alpine’s Kids Tiegel Terrain Park, located near the base lodge.  

This is where it all goes down!  The Western Winter Sports Representatives Association (WWSRA) invites all sport shops to attend and test 2011/2012 ski and snowboard equipment.  Every manufacturer (from skis, snowboards, helmets, boots, and more) set up shop for two days, featuring their full array of next year’s gear in order for retailers to better understand each product.  Shops representatives who wish to attend are strongly encouraged to pre-register online at WWSRA.com.

New Route Planned: The Beaver Bowl Banzai course has been moved due to snow conditions. The course will start at the top of Wolverine Bowl, continue down to the Face and the up on to Kangaroo Fully Ridge finiishing close to the base of the mountian right under Summit Chair.

Alpenglow Sports has partnered with Alpine Meadows Ski Resort to provide its 5th annual Alpine Touring and Telemark Demo Event. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 9am to 3pm, weather permitting. The event will provide a forum to perpetuate the enthusiasm for all aspects of in-area and backcountry skiing. Free to all, the event will showcase the latest and greatest in both telemark and alpine touring equipment. Participating vendors will include Black Diamond, Dynafit, G3, Scarpa, Garmont, Rossignol, Volkl, Marker, Moment, Ski Logic, and DPS.

$30.00 lift and race entry. One team check payable to: Alpine Meadows.

Received by 5:00pm on Wednesday January 25th. . Tahoe League Excel entry form must be emailed. All entries received after 5:00pm will be assessed a $30 late fee on race day.
