Trains Freestyle Ski & Snowboard Contest
The High Fives Foundation, Alpine Meadows | Squaw Valley, Volkl Skis and Marker Bindings present Trains 2012 Freestyle Ski & Snowboard Contest on Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 11am-4pm at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort.
A great spectator event, Trains affords locals and visitors alike the opportunity to witness world class skiing and snowboarding at one of the most stunning locales in the Lake Tahoe basin. Alpine Meadows and Snow Park Technologies roll out all the stops with an amazing slopestyle course and spectator venue. A unique format at a competition unlike any other will showcase the talents of 30 competitors vying for top honors and the chance to donate over $5,000 to selected charities. Three teams of ten (skiers and snowboarders) will be picked by captains that win the Best Male, Best Female or Best 540 (degree rotation) in the first half of the competition.
The event’s namesake Trains will be on display in the second half as the team competition ensues with each team of ten popping off the features in succession (much like the grand finale on a 4th of July Fireworks display). Grab your friends and family and make your way to Alpine Meadows for Trains Freestyle Ski & Snowboard Contest on April 14, 2012!
