Learn to Ski/Ride 3-Day Progression Package

Ready to make the commitment to a complete introduction to skiing or snowboarding? The 3-day progression package is the best way to learn. Our instructors will help you gain confidence in your newfound abilities and access more of the mountain. Not sure a 3-day is perfect for you? Don't worry, participants in a first timer package (above) will have the opportunity to upgrade to the 3-day progression package at the end of their lesson.

Intermediate & Advanced Group Lessons

Packages include your lift ticket, equipment rental and lesson. Lesson-only packages also available. Available for all levels if an all-mountain lift ticket is desired. Level is assessed on-snow, the day of the lesson by our professional instructors. Adventure 55 - Lessons for the Adventurous Mature Skier

Adventure 55 is a program designed specifically for the skier or snowboarder (age 55+) who is looking to unlock the secrets to the latest in ski/snowboard technique and design. New skills, new friends and a new effortless and efficient way of skiing/riding await all participants.

The  "Adventure 55" program is offered on all Tuesdays beginning January 10th, with the exception of Presidents Week (Jan. 17).

The sessions are designed and run by highly experienced instructors of the Alpine Meadows Snowsports School. These instructors have top-level certifications and many years of experience in working with all types of skiers and riders.

  • Open to intermediate/advanced level skiers/riders over age 55.
  • Alpine Meadows sessions meet Tuesdays below the Roundhouse chair lift.
  • All sessions meet at 9:45 a.m., clinics go from 10 a.m. to noon.
  • Valid season pass or lift ticket required.
  • Equipment rental is not included in the package.

Women's Wednesdays & Sundays

These specialty sessons are offered to provide an excellent and supportive environment to take your skiing to new levels. You'll be surrounded by other women rooting for you as you are coached by our top female instructors. This 2.5 hour guided mountain adventure will have you skiing with sheer joy.

Already made a reservation?

Pick up your paperwork at the Ski & Snowboard School Sales Desk, located next to Special Tickets between 8:30-9 a.m. If you have purchased a package, you will then be directed to the Rental Shop. Please be sure to read our cancellation policy.

Ski & Snowboard School lesson level video

Ability levels are assessed on the day of, on the snow by our professional instuctors.  All lessons are divided into groups by ability level.

Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel your reservation by 1pm (Pacific Time) the day before your reservation there is no charge
  • If you cancel after 1pm and before 5pm the day before your reservation the charge is $15 for group and $50 for private lessons
  • If you cancel on the day of your reservation, or do not show up for your reservation, you are subject to full charge.
