Kid's Ski and Snowboard Programs

Alpine Meadows Mountain Resort offers the finest children's ski and snowboard programs in the region. We focus on safety, fun and learning in all of our programs and our instructors are trained in the latest techniques to ensure the best opportunity for your children to learn. Alpine Meadows Snowsports School is a Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) member school.

At Alpine Meadows we offer a wide variety of half-day and full-day lesson options which is just right for kids ages 3-13, firstimers and advanced. We encourage you to review our different programs available.

Lesson Times

In order to get the most out of your lessons, it is important to know and plan for the lesson schedule. If you will be renting your equipment at Alpine Meadows, please be sure to arrive with plenty of time to get fitted and show up at the meeting place, dressed and ready to go.

All-Day Schedule

Check-In: 8:30-9:30am

Reservations

Reservations are recommended to expedite your check-in time and to ensure a spot in our programs. Space can be limited during our peak periods including: December 24 - January 1, January 14 - 16, February 18 - 26 so please reserve early! Also during these times, please plan appropriately for travel time, including traffic.

Please note: Reservations must be made 48 hours in advance.

Our sales office is open from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. For more information and reservations, call us at (800) 403-0206. The best hours to reach our operators are between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  Messages left after hours will be returned the following day.

Please note that reservations cannot be made over the phone on the day of; however, walk-ins are welcome based on availability.

Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel your reservation by 1pm (Pacific Time) the day before your reservation there is no charge
  • If you cancel after 1pm and before 5pm the day before your reservation the charge is $15 for group and $50 for private lessons
  • If you cancel on the day of your reservation, or do not show up for your reservation, you are subject to full charge.

Spring Camp for Kids

A five-day camp for 5-16 year olds focusing on racing, all mountain skiing/riding, back country travel, terrain park and avalanche safety/awareness. Participants must be comfortable skiing easy blue terrain and above. There will be alpine, snowboard and telemark groups.

The dates for the Spring Camp for Kids are TBA for Spring of 2012.  Each week, Wednesday will be an off day. Groups will meet at 9 a.m. each day and the program will end at 2:30 p.m. daily. Lunch is not included, but will be supervised.
