Daily Equipment Storage
Alpine’s main lodge amenities and facilities make it easy for guests to start a day of mountain adventure off the right way. Located on the first floor, convenient gear storage lockers make for easy storage of extra clothing and gear with unlimited access throughout the day. For guests who plan to return for another day on the mountain the Overnight Ski & Snowboard Storage Center offers a great convenience, and is located at the base area adjacent to the Roundhouse chairlift.
Main Lodge Relaxation
When guests are ready for a ski break, Alpine’s expansive sundeck and vast main lodge make for a perfect place for a cup of cocoa or an icy, refreshing beverage. Soak in the mountain views on the sundeck; and if you’re a parent skiing with little ones, enjoy the Kid Zone, located adjacent to the main dining area of the lodge. The Kid Zone hosts an Indoor Play Area - complete with games and indoor jungle gyms for small children, and a dining area for a relaxing lunch or après-ski spot.
Mountain Resort Dining
With eight on-mountain dining options, every skier’s pallet will be satisfied! The main lodge’s Meadows Café presents one of the area’s best breakfasts. For lunch, choose from a full soup and salad bar; made-to-order sirloin burgers; fresh pastas and homemade pizza; and daily fresh Mex. Alpine Meadows season pass holders benefit from a 10% dining discount in the Meadows Café!
The espresso and gourmet coffee bar offers delicious hot beverages and pastries throughout the day; and the world-famous Treats Café serves gourmet deli items made from scratch. Après-ski micro brews, specialty cocktails, and tapas dishes are always a popular choice in the Compactor Bar. Located adjacent to the main lodge at the base of the Subway Chair Lift is the Gentian Café, offering over-sized sirloin burgers straight from the grill; unique soups; and hearty deli sandwiches. Located at the base of Yellow Chair, the Mid Mountain Chalet is a longstanding favorite among tenured locals. With fresh baked lasagna, chili, and all the classic winter comfort foods, there’s no wonder the Chalet is a popular mountain lunch spot. Located at the base of the Sherwood Chair, the Ice Bar is unique to Alpine. Offering daily barbecued bratwurst, grilled chicken sandwiches, bottled micro-brews and soft drinks, the Ice Bar is an oasis unto itself with its on-snow lounge atmosphere.
Ski & Snowboard Lessons, Camps, and Adventure
Alpine Meadows ski and snowboard instruction for adults and children is one of Tahoe’s best combinations of instruction, adventure, and fun. Top instructors and coaches provide a variety of daily options including the beginner program and the Burton Learn To Ride Center. For intermediate and advanced athletes, Alpine’s tenured coaches offer Special Interest Camps including the Steep Camp, Women’s Camp, and Master's Race programs. For clients in search of one-on-one coaching private instructions are available daily with some of the country’s top instructors. New this winter, Alpine presents the Alpine Guides program - offering private instructor-guided tours of Alpine’s legendary off-trail terrain. Located at Alpine Meadows, Disabled Sports USA offers instruction and coaching for clients with physical and mental disabilities. Novice through expert skiing levels are taught daily.
Equipment Choices, Maintenance and Repair
Imagine skiing or snowboarding on brand-new equipment every day. It’s all possible through the Alpine Meadows High Performance Demo Equipment center. If you’re a mountain adventurer partial to top of the line brand name gear, visit the Demo Shop to test out a wide variety for the day or for your entire vacation. Alpine’s ski and snowboard technicians maintain the mountain’s equipment; as well as present a menu of services for privately-owned gear in the Equipment Repair Shop, located in the main lodge. Ski and snowboard rental packages for beginners are also among the most popular choices in the rental shop. Boots, skis, snowboards, and ski poles are also available as individual rented items. Gear for all ability levels is available each day. The kids’ ski and snowboard rental program is among the finest, offering the latest equipment - including all-new Burton Learn To Ride snowboards. Rent as a package or individual items for the day or a week, and because kids grow so fast, rentals can even be arranged for an entire season!
On-Mountain Terrain Parks for Skiers and Snowboarders
Although Alpine’s entire mountain could be considered one giant terrain park, the resort presents three separate ski and snowboard Terrain Parks, which are meticulously groomed and sculpted nightly. A wide variety of rails, fun-boxes, and snow features can be found in each park. Most popular with beginners and kids is the Kids’ Tiegel Terrain Park. Intermediates have fun reaching for the next level in the Kangaroo Ridge Park; and advanced skiers and riders make a beeline to the Shreadows Terrain Park. All terrain parks are easily accessed via Roundhouse high speed quad, Tiegel Poma, and Hot Wheels Triple Chair.
Mountain Shopping
Located on the first floor of the main lodge, Estelle Sports Retail Shop presents the latest outerwear, eye-wear, mountain casual clothing; as well as technical layers, unique fashion items, gifts, and personal essentials.
