Warren Miller @ Alpine Meadows

Warren Miller has a special deal with Mother Nature. Either that or he's perfected the secret of being in the right place at the right time - and passed it on to movie cinematographers and star skiers.

Warren Miller new film Dynasty

Case in point: while filming the 09/10 W.M. film, Dynasty, Tahoe's cream of the crop skiers and movie makers descended upon Alpine Meadows in search of deep, bottomless powder - and they struck snow equivalent to California gold.

All tallied, 13 feet of snow fell while Olympic skiers floated through powder so deep they simply disappeared through turns; only to reemerge with giant, ear-to-ear grins.

That special deal with Mother Nature holds true for Alpine Meadows. Renowned  for deep powder, the mountain's 2400 acres and seven legendary powder bowls host some country's finest descents. Those who were there will remember - actually storms like that can't be forgotten; but in case you'd like a beautiful reminder, check out the new Warren Miller film, Dynasty, at a theater near you.

Errol Kerr Featured in Warren Miller's New Film

Errol KerrAlpine Meadows athlete, Errol Kerr, is the Jamaica Ski Team phenom! Errol will compete in the 2010 Olympic Ski Cross event. With strong ties to the Caribbean country known for its sandy beaches rather than snow, Kerr views the 2010 Olympic Games as not only a personal achievement; but an achievement for all of Jamaica.

A resident of Truckee, California, Errol calls Alpine Meadows Ski Resort home for training - and definitely takes a little time to enjoy fresh powder! During February of 2009, Errol skied Alpine's legendary powder for the cameras of the Warren Miller Entertainment crew! Look for Errol - and his unmistakable, fluorescent pink goggles - skiing at Alpine Meadows in Dynasty.
